Sun Poker review
$500 welcome bonus
iPoker network so busy traffic
Simple and rewarding loyalty scheme
$100 refer a friend scheme
Sun Poker is pretty much 'old school' in terms of online poker - in it's various forms it's been kicking around for a decade and providing a great online poker experience to its players. This is one of the iPoker network of sites so straight away you know you're going to be in for a good time as it comes packaged with excellent software and benefits from really high levels of player traffic. On top of that there's a great $500 welcome bonus for all new Sun Poker players, making things even more attractive.
Sun Poker software
The software on offer here is a 'skin' of the iPoker network client. This means a world-class piece of software that's been well designed from the ground up. It's robust enough to deal with some serious multi-tabling and the graphics are smooth and bright, making it a really enjoyable poker experience. Probably the only thing we could fault it on is not really being able to customise it.
There's some superb features though - with the player notes, you're also able to colour code them; if you're playing multiple tables you have one-click access to tiling or cascading them; and you can also choose from a good variety of player avatars.

Sun Poker games
Sun Poker has what you want to see - a great mix of poker games which will appeal to all online poker players. There is Texas Hold'em, with No Limit, Pot Limit and Fixed Limit on offer, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, 7 Card Stud, 5 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud Hi-Lo. Pretty much every stake you could want is on offer as well so it's a great poker site no matter what your game or bankroll.
Sun Poker welcome bonus
Sun Poker have a pretty awesome welcome bonus going right now which you'll want to snap up. All new poker players can grab a bonus which matches your first deposit by 100% up to a maximum of $500, giving you a nice easy way of increasing your bankroll simply by playing the poker you were going to do anyway!.
How do you earn the bonus? So here's the deal with that bonus - start playing with real money on Sun Poker and as you do, you'll be automatically accruing Sun Points. Every time you earn 5000, $5 of the bonus gets released into your account. If you want to speed up the bonus earning, just play at a higher stake or play more tables to rake through the points faster.
As well as this, Sun also offers a $100 refer a friend scheme. You can refer as many new players are you like and each time you do you both earn cash bonuses of up to $100 each.
Sun Poker player reward and loyalty program
Sun Poker has a great scheme for its players called the Shine VIP Program. It's really simple - the more you play, the more points you earn. The more points you earn, the higher your status in the program, and the higher the status, the more points you earn.
Once you've earned Sun Points, you can cash them in at the rate of $1 per 1000 points (there's a minimum redemption amount of 5000). Nice and simple - cashback when you want it which rewards your poker play and loyalty to the site. Awesome.
Sun Poker traffic
Well one of the great things of Sun Poker is that it's on the iPoker network. This means it benefits from sharing players from various sites - the iPoker network as a result is the world's third busiest poker network. The end benefit for you is that even though Sun Poker isn't one of the largest sites, because it shares player traffic the games are really busy around the clock and especially at weekends and during evenings.
