Why play at Sky Poker?
Sky Poker is a classy looking online poker site with the benefit of an established, popular brand behind it, making it a name you can trust. A great gimmick with this site is that some of their MTTs are actually televised. The site offers the superb customer service you'd expect from such a well known brand, top quality poker software, and a huge first time deposit poker bonus of up to £1000. This is a site that's gaining more and more business each week and is hotly tipped by us to really be going places this year.
Sky Poker software
Sky Poker features attractive, well-designed software which is easy to use. A great feature if you're multi-tabling is the 'mini view' option which means you can have the table at a much smaller size whilst still seeing all the action easily. There's a good range of avatars you can choose to represent your player. Overall it's a sleek, user-friendly interface that makes playing poker on Sky a real pleasure.
Multi-tabling is really well supported at Sky and in fact you can play up to 24 tables at any one time.

Sky Poker games
Sky Poker offers Holdem, Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo poker games, as well as a range of casino games including Roulette and Blackjack. A good range of poker stakes are offered - cash games from £0.02/£0.04 up to £100/£200; sit n gos from £0.30 to £420, and MTTs from £1.10 to £220.
And should you want a break from poker, remember that Sky also offers a huge sports betting operation (SKyBet), as well as a casino (SkyVegas) and bingo (SkyBingo) - basically if it's anything gaming related you want, they probably have it and do it very well.
Sky Poker welcome bonus
Sky have got an awesome first time deposit poker bonus offer for you - they'll match 100% of what you deposit up to a maximum of £1000! This is a really sweet offer.
How do you earn the bonus? Start playing real money poker on Sky and you'll be earning player points. Every 75 player points you accrue will earn you £5. The bonus needs to be earned during the first 30 days after making your deposit. Obviously the more poker you play, and the higher the stake, the quicker you'll be earning that bonus. So how much bonus you earn is all down to you.
Poker players new to Sky Poker also benefit by getting entry to two £1000 new player freerolls.
And, as if that's not enough already, they've got an excellent offer right now whereby new players get a £10 free tournament token (in addition to everything mentioned above).
Sky Poker reward and loyalty scheme
Sky's player reward scheme is all about earning and redeeming Poker Points. These Points are earned anytime you play real money on Sky, be it a cash game, SNG or MTT.
For tournament play, it's very simple - you earn 10 Poker Points for every £1 in tournament fee paid.
For cash game poker play, the Points earned depends on the number of raked hands and varies between 1 and 30. So basically the more poker you play on Sky, the more Points you earn.
You can then 'spend' your Sky Poker Points by redeeming them for entry into tournaments.
The latest addition they've made to their loyalty scheme is the 'Cash for Points' scheme. What happens is any time you earn a point over 500 in a month, you earn a cash bonus, and the amount you can earn is unlimited. It's yet another way of boosting your bankroll and income from poker.
Finally, if you achieve over 10,000 Points in a month, you get to join the Priority Club, which offers you a range of perks including faster Cash for Points payout, enhanced Cash for Points, various exclusive promotions and freerolls, and priority account management (you get your own account manager and a special phone number to use).
Sky Poker traffic
Player traffic on Sky is decent, especially at the lower stakes. The higher stakes tables during the day/off-peak times can be a little slow but overall the traffic is very good for an independent site to be achieving.
Sky Poker player community
Another great benefit of playing poker on Sky is the community section. You can find this from the Sky Poker lobby under the 'Community' tab - from which you can then navigate either to the player forums or blog sections.
The Sky forums have thousands of posts and threads and are a great place where you can get advice on your poker game and strategy, as well as posting hand histories to get input from others. It's a great (and free) way to improve your game and get to know other players.
