Why play at Everest Poker?

Everest Poker is a very well established online poker room which offers great customer service, a very rewarding loyalty programme, and plenty of loose players. Right now is a good time to join the site as they're offering new players a handsome $500 welcome bonus.

Everest Poker software

The Everest poker client features a nice design that makes it quick and easy to get playing. You can either do this via the 'Quick Seat' tab, which gives you a quick way of joining a cash game, MTT or SNG; alternatively by browsing the 'All Games' tab.

The lobby can be customised by using the 'Custom List' option - this allows you to dictate what types of games and limits appear in this tab, making it much easier to find your preferred game the next time you log on.

Support for multi-tabling is good - you can play up to eight tables at once and choose to tile or cascade them with just one click of the mouse.

You can select from twelve different table designs and two 'observer viewpoints'.

Everest Poker games

Everest offers poker in Hold'em (No Limit, Fixed Limit and Pot Limit) and Omaha (Pot Limit). You can either play cash games, SNGs or MTTs. As well as playing for real money there is also the option to use play money, giving you the chance to try out both the software and games before making your first deposit on Everest.

Everest also runs a casino which gives you access to over 150 games including slots, table games and video poker.

Everest Poker welcome bonus

Everest have a cracking first time deposit offer, matching 100% of what you deposit,  up to a maximum of $500.

How do you earn the bonus? Each 100 'Summit' points (i.e player points) you earn will release $6. The bonus needs to be earned in the first two weeks of play.

So this is a really easy way of doubling up your money and building up that poker bankroll.

Everest Poker loyalty and reward scheme

Summit Poker is the Everest player reward scheme known as the VIP Summit Club. The first thing to do when you open up your Everest account is go the Account section, then click on VIP Summit Club. You need to agree to the terms and conditions and you'll then be part of the scheme.

Whenever you play a cash game, MTT, or SNG, you earn what's called Summit Points. For example, playing a $10+$1 tourney would earn you 8 of them.

However many points you earn in a month determines your status (or tier) in the scheme, starting at 'Base Camp' (300 Summit Points needed) to 'The Summit' (50,000 Summit Points required). 'Climbing' the scheme means you get Bonus Summit Points and the chance to convert these into cash. Other benefits as you move up include weekly freerolls and priority customer service.

Best of all though you can choose to redeem your Summit Points in the Everest Store (this is accessed from the Account button in the Everest Poker lobby). There is a huge variety of items you can 'buy' with your Summit Points here from clothes, electronics items, to books and items for the home. It's a great feature of playing on Everest and means you can also save up your points and cash them in for some very high value items.

Everest Poker traffic

Traffic at Everest is pretty good and it's got a loyal following of players. There's a good mix of bad and decent players so there's still plenty of 'dead money' here for the taking. At the time of writing, for example, there were 14,000 players online on a Saturday afternoon, so it's a busy poker room for sure.
