Why play at Bodog Poker?
Bodog Poker is a classy poker room which is a great place to build a bankroll on. With software that's easy to use for beginners and pros alike, and a tasty poker bonus of up to $1000, there is plenty to like about Bodog.
Bodog also have a unique proposition in that their poker tables are anonymous - what this means is you won't see the player name/alias, only a number. This prevents players being able to make notes on you.
Bodog Poker software
The Bodog poker client is quick, efficient and robust. The lobby has a wonderfully simple design with your player information on the left and then tabs for cash games, SNGs and MTTs taking up the main part of the window. You can then use tickboxes to reduce the number of tables shown even further.
Gameplay at Bodog is a real pleasure - featuring a simple but attractive black and red colour scheme, there is a handy 'spotlight' feature which highlights the player whose turn it is at the table.
Multitabling support here is excellent, with the facility to play up to 20 tables at one time either through a tile or cascade format.
What's unique about Bodog is how you will never see the player name or alias of your opponents. What happens instead is that each table everyone is anonymous and you just see their seat number. So you could be playing the same opponent in several tables and not know. There's pros and cons to this for sure - arguably though it's also beneficial to you too as you're also anonymous. This means your opponents are unable to make notes on you thus removing the ability of them to have future 'reads' on you to their advantage.

Bodog Poker games
Bodog offers a great variety of poker games, specifically Texas Hold'em (No Limit, Pot Limit and Fixed Limit), Omaha Hi (Fixed and Pot Limit), Omaha Hi/Lo (Pot Limit and Fixed Limit), 7 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo (bother Fixed Limit). On top of this there is also access from the poker lobby to playing single player Blackjack.
You may have heard of the Bodog brand before as it's not just poker they offer. They also offer a world-class sportsbook, horse betting and a huge online casino meaning every type of online gaming possible is covered by them, and done to an excellent standard.
Bodog Poker welcome bonus
Bodog offers an awesome first time deposit poker bonus, matching 100% of what you deposit, up to $1000. This is a fantastic offer and gives you an excellent way of building up a nice poker bankroll.
How do you earn the bonus? Every time you play real money poker on Bodog, you earn player points. The more poker you play, the more points you earn and therefore the faster you'll earn the poker bonus. 100 player points = $10. 500 points = another $40. 1500 points = another $100, and so on. $1 rake = 1 point.
Bodog Poker - other bonuses
The welcome bonus in itself is very attractive but that's not where things end at Bodog. The first additional bonus they offer is the Bad Beat Poker Bonus. How this works is, if in a cash game you have a full house with Aces full of Kings (or a better hand) and you lost to Four of a Kind (or better) you will win 100 x the big blind, up to a maximum of $1000. For this to pay off, both of your hole cards must be used (as must your opponent) and the hands must go to showdown. It's a great way of taking the sting out of a bad beat!
Next up is the Royal Flush Bonus. Again it's simple - score a Royal Flush using both your hole cards and you get a bonus of 50 x the big blind to a very nice maximum of $200! Making getting an awesome hand that much better, and lucrative. (NB this isn't an automatic bonus, you need to contact customer service with the details of the hand within 48 hours).
Finally we have the Bodog refer a friend bonus. For introducing a new player to Bodog, you can get up to £30 for each person you refer.
Bodog Poker player reward/loyalty scheme
The Bodog scheme is nice and simple and is built around the earning and redeeming of Bodog Poker Points. These are earned by you whenever you play on the site. For MTT and SNG player these are earned at a rate of 3 Points for every $1 in fees paid. For cash/ring game play it depends on the size of the rake, varying between 0.05 and 1 point per pot. The more you play, the more Bodog Poker Points you earn.
You can then exchange your points by buying tournament tickets.

With such a big name like Bodog it's no wonder some really big names from the poker world have been tempted to come and join 'Team Bodog'. The most recognisable names are probably Evelyn Ng, Jean Robert Bellande and David Wiliams.
