Why play at PokerView?
PokerView is simply one of my favourite Merge Network sites. If you're after a US friendly online poker room with some great rewards and a huge bonus, you've just found the right site for you.
Like Hold'em but enjoy the other formats such as Stud or Razz? No problem at all, they have all those and much much more.
Right now they have a massive $750 welcome bonus for the taking, plus up to 35% daily cashback. Added to this excellent player numbers day or night (and because they're USA friendly there are multiple peak times) and a friendly player forum and you've got yourself a real doozy of a site.
PokerView software
Like you'd expect from a popular site on a popular network, the PokerView software is really nice. I have a lot of time for the Merge Network poker clients and PokerView is no exception. Really classy looking black, grey and silver colour scheme which is really easy on the eye. My only annoyance is they've removed the 'custom colors' function so you can't do things like customise the table theme and so on. But hey, it still looks great straight out of the box, so to speak.
PokerView is a great site for multi-tabling - most notably as you can play an unlimited number of tables at once; secondly because you have options to cascade or tile them. And if you're tiling, to save room on your display screen, you can choose the 'mini' view which will provide a slightly scaled back, smaller table allowing you to fit more on.

PokerView games
PokerView offers one of the best ranges of online poker formats in the world. These include not only the common Texas Hold'em, Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo, but also some of the really niche games such as Stud (7 Card, 7 Card Hi/Lo and 5 Card), Razz, 5 Card Draw, Triple Draw, Badugi and Mixed games such as HORSE. Stakes on offer are as follows (for simplicity we've just listed NLHE):
Cash games: $0.02/$0.04 to $500/$100
Sit n gos / STTs: $0.11 to $2240
Multi Table Tournaments / MTTs: $0.06 to $530
..so as you can see, regardless of whether you're brand new to the game and testing out the water with some micro stakes action, or a fully fledged poker pro, there's a game here at PokerView for everyone.
You also have a 'Play Money' option so if you're wanting to try out the software and games offered before making your first deposit, you can check out this useful option.
And - if you need a break from playing poker, check out the Casino tab - PokerView also offers some great online games including Blackjack, Roulette and Video Poker.
PokerView bonuses
PokerView offer two great promotions - firstly there is the daily cashback which I'll tell you about shortly. The other one is the huge $750 welcome bonus. Basically however much you deposit for the first time at PokerView, they'll match it by 150%!
What you need to make sure is, when you make the deposit, use bonus code 'GETPAID' to be eligible for it.
How do you earn the bonus?
Simply by playing real money poker on PokerView - it's measured by what are called 'VIP Points' - for each 75 you earn, $1 of the bonus is earned too. The bonus is paid into your account in increments of $5.
Bad Beat Jackpot
One of the great things about being part of the Merge network is that PokerView participates in the 'Bad Beat Jackpot'. What this means is certain cash tables take a small amount of the rake and it goes towards the fund for this (which eventually builds up, often into the hundreds of thousands of dollars).
For the Jackpot to pay out, a player must lose holding four of a kind sevens or better - not easy! There's also a few conditions to it, for example the winning and losing hand must be using both of their hole cards and so on. But this Jackpot is massive - at the time of writing it's relatively small for what it can be ($167,000). It's a great way of giving your bankroll a once in a lifetime boost but also taking the sting out of a bad beat!
PokerView reward/player loyalty scheme
PokerView has embraced a really simple and highly rewarding loyalty program, built around the phrase 'get paid to play'. It's a wonderfully simple concept where you have four status levels - bronze, silver, gold and platinum. To start getting the daily cashback you just need to earn 100 Points in a month.
Bronze players get 5% daily cashback, Silver 10%, Gold 20% and Platinum a whopping 35%.
On top of this, Silver-Platinum get exclusive monthly freerolls ($750-$3000), and also a $10 bonus for every 1000 Points earned.
It really is that simple - the more you play, the more they pay! It offers great value for everyone but is especially lucrative for the serious poker player - 35% cashback is a huge incentive.
PokerView traffic
Whilst PokerView itself is a relatively small online poker room, it doesn't matter in terms of traffic as it's part of the Merge Network. Now the Merge Network is a huge one - in actual fact it's the seventh most popular in the world as we speak.
This means that as well as peak times (i.e. weekends and evenings) there's still decent traffic during the day as well (although it suffers somewhat for games like Razz, etc.) The average number of players on the network at one time is around 1600.
PokerView customer service and support
Questions? Concerns? No problem, just click the 'Support' button in the PokerView lobby. There's a nice FAQ section but if you can't find the answer you want you can just send an email to their customer service team 24/7. In my testing of this I found them to be very polite and professional with a good response time.
